I stumbled across this picture last year and have been puzzling about where it could be. The back of the picture states "Jasper, Colorado Rockies" but I'm not convinced that it's our Jasper. It could also be from somewhere in the area near Jasper like Stunner or Summitville? There's no date but the colors and condition are consistent with pictures I've seen from the 1940's, but I could be wrong. There are unique features in the background but I just can't figure out where this was taken.
Here's a link to the high-resolution pictures on Google Drive if anyone wants to help crack the case. A good tool is using Google Maps in 3D mode to fly around and rotate the orientation to try and find a match of the mountains in the background.
