A column of short notices under Items From the Gold Camps, and the most ordinary thing in the collection, which is why it is useful. It records the boom as daily life rather than as headlines.

Frank Watrous was erecting an arrastra four miles above Jasper and would treat ore as soon as it was finished. An association of Monte Vista and Alamosa parties was taking out incorporation papers for a company to take over several groups of claims on Cornwall, with a long tunnel to be driven on the Columbine group. A force of men was to start the following week for the lessees on the Guadaloupe and Miser groups.

Also here: Hans Matzen and Henry Reynolds working assessments for outside parties at Stunner, Jim Smith operating a barber shop at Platoro and reporting fair business considering the population, Mrs. George Hook and C. A. Moody leaving for Jasper for an indefinite stay, and an automobile belonging to the Mountain States Telephone Company getting a party of linemen to within eight miles of Jasper.

Frank Chandler and Earl Kennedy start for Jasper with a load of supplies, expecting to spend the ensuing year at the gold camps. Earl Kennedy is named again six weeks later as one of the lessees who made the Miser strike.
